[勇於嘗試、願意冒險]
有豐富人生經驗的長輩教導我們：
凡事都要嘗試，不嘗試，絕無成功可能，
試了，成功或者失敗，都是一半的機會，
但至少會有成功的機會。
人如果不願意冒險，就不可能成功，
亦不可能知道自己能力究竟有多高。
所以勵志者教導我們：
Everything is easier said than done.
So stop saying and start doing！
Besides, stop waiting for things to happen.
Go out and make them happen！
Strength doesn’t come from what you can do.
It comes from overcoming the thing
you once thought you couldn’t.
Don’t limit your challenges.
Be fearless. Challenge your limits,
especially those you place upon yourself.
If you don’t challenge yourself,
you will never realise what you can become.
I’ve learned that you can keep going
long after you think you can’t.
So go ahead. Keep your head and chin up.

不願意冒險去嘗試的人，也許是由於害怕失敗。

有一個惡人在光天化日之下強姦了兩位女性，
旁觀者明哲保身，保持了必要的沉默，
諂媚者則讚惡人「你真是好姦量」，
惡人嚴肅地回應說：「第一姦是我的，
第二姦是代表自宮發炎兼陽痿的朋友。」
三天後，惡人又在光天化日之下強姦了一位女性，
旁觀者同樣保持了必要的沉默，
諂媚者忍不住好奇地問：「怎麼只姦一位就夠了，
難道自宮發炎兼陽痿的朋友死了？」
惡人同樣嚴肅地回應說：「不，是我戒姦了。」
有旁觀的愚夫愚婦以為惡人改邪歸正，肅然起敬。
聰明的旁觀者就明白惡人是為了騙取選票而說謊，
一旦惡人再度當選，在愚夫愚婦的選票鼓勵之下，
強姦當然會繼續，甚至百尺竿頭，更進一步。
[努力創造和把握機會]
